Dollar-Naira Rate Crashes Again! See Latest Official, Parallel Market Rates Today

The Nigerian naira recorded further movement against the United States dollar on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with the local currency trading at different rates across the official and parallel foreign exchange markets.

In the official market, the dollar was quoted at around ₦1,329, while the parallel market recorded the dollar at approximately ₦1,370.

The figures show a gap of about ₦41 per dollar between the two markets.

  • Parallel market: ₦1,370/$

In the parallel market, the naira strengthened from about ₦1,375/$ to ₦1,370/$.

Meanwhile, the official indicative rate moved to approximately ₦1,329/$, compared with ₦1,328 previously.

Based on the reported rates:

  • $100 at official rate: ₦132,900
  • $100 at parallel-market rate: ₦137,000
  • Difference: ₦4,100

The movement of the naira against the dollar remains significant for households and businesses, particularly those involved in imports, international payments, travel and other transactions requiring foreign currency.
