FRSC Sets To Open 2026 Recruitment Portal, Announces Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise, with the online application portal set to receive applications from qualified Nigerians seeking employment in various cadres of the Corps.

The recruitment exercise covers vacancies in the Officer, Marshal Inspectorate (MI), and Road Marshal Assistant (RMA) cadres, offering opportunities for both graduates and non-graduates to join the nation’s lead road safety agency.

According to the Corps, interested applicants must be Nigerian citizens and meet the educational, age, physical, and medical requirements specified for their preferred cadre.

Eligibility Requirements

For the Officer Cadre, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution, along with a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Medical officers are required to hold an MBBS degree from a recognized university.

Candidates seeking positions in the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre must possess qualifications ranging from National Diploma (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Registered Nursing certificates, Community Health Extension Worker certificates, and other relevant professional credentials, depending on the position applied for.

For the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre, applicants are required to possess SSCE, WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB certificates with the prescribed credits, including English Language and Mathematics for some positions. Artisans and tradesmen may also apply with relevant trade certificates and professional qualifications.

Additionally, applicants are expected to be physically and medically fit, while male candidates must meet a minimum height requirement of about 1.69 metres and female candidates 1.65 metres. Applicants are generally expected to be between 18 and 35 years of age, depending on the cadre.

The FRSC warned prospective applicants against falling victim to fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment process is free of charge and that no payment is required at any stage of the exercise.

The Corps advised interested candidates to monitor official FRSC channels for detailed application guidelines, available vacancies, and recruitment deadlines as the exercise progresses.
