ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE — The Immediate Past Chairman of the National Association of University Students (NAUS), Ogun State Chapter, Comrade Adeyemi Boluwatife Opeyemi, popularly known as BOLEXIS, has publicly declared his support for Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu (LADO) ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.

In a statement released on Friday, the former student leader also announced the formation of the LADO Students Movement 2027 (LSM2027), a platform aimed at mobilizing students, youths, and other progressive stakeholders across the state in support of Adebutu’s gubernatorial ambition.
According to BOLEXIS, the movement is designed to serve as a vehicle for political awareness, democratic participation, and youth engagement in the quest for quality leadership in Ogun State.
Describing LSM2027 as more than a conventional political structure, he said the initiative represents a “democratic awakening” and a “bold call to action” for young people and citizens committed to the development of the state.
He stressed the need for students and youths to move beyond what he described as political sentimentalism, blind loyalty, and deceptive propaganda, insisting that the future of Ogun State should be determined by competence, accountability, and a clear vision for development.
“The time has come for students and youths to take their rightful place in shaping the destiny of our state. We must rise above partisan distractions and support leadership that prioritizes education, security, economic empowerment, infrastructure, and human capital development,” he stated.
BOLEXIS expressed confidence in Adebutu’s leadership capacity, describing him as a people-oriented politician with the competence and progressive mindset required to reposition Ogun State for sustainable growth and prosperity.
He further noted that the movement would continue to advocate for good governance, youth inclusion, and responsible leadership while rejecting what he termed political complacency and leadership without impact.
Reaffirming the group’s commitment to its objectives, the former NAUS chairman declared that LSM2027 would remain steadfast in its mission to galvanize support for Adebutu and promote active youth participation in the democratic process.
“This is more than a campaign; it is a movement built on consciousness, courage, and collective determination. We shall remain resolute in our pursuit of a better Ogun State,” he added.
The declaration is expected to add momentum to political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship race, with student and youth groups increasingly becoming influential stakeholders in the state’s political landscape. This version is structured in a professional newspaper style suitable for publication in print, online news platforms, or political magazines.
