APC House of Reps Primaries: Full List of Winners Across States Emerges

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded the conduct of its House of Representatives primaries across several states ahead of the 2027 general elections, producing a mix of returning lawmakers, political loyalists and fresh contenders as flagbearers of the ruling party.

The primaries, held amid tight security and intense political calculations, witnessed fierce contests in many federal constituencies, while consensus arrangements and unopposed victories also played out in some areas.

Among the notable winners is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, who secured the APC ticket for Zaria Federal Constituency in Kaduna State.

Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, also emerged victorious in Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State.

In Lagos State, prominent lawmakers including James Faleke and Mudasiru Obasa clinched tickets for Ikeja/Ojodu and Agege Federal Constituencies respectively.

Among those said to have lost their bids are Julius Ihonvbere and socialite Cubana Chief Priest, whose political ambition suffered a setback during the exercise.

Party stakeholders have, however, called on aggrieved aspirants to embrace reconciliation and work for the unity of the APC ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Political observers believe the outcome of the primaries may significantly reshape the composition of the next House of Representatives, especially with the emergence of several new contenders and the exit of some ranking lawmakers.
