JAMB Set To Opens Portal for Result Slip Printing, Change of Institution

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced Monday, May 18, 2026, as the official date for the commencement of UTME result slip printing and change of institution for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

The development is expected to pave the way for the 2026 admission process, as candidates will now be able to access their original result slips and make necessary corrections or adjustments to their institution and course choices.

According to information released through the examination body’s portal, candidates can carry out the processes online via the official JAMB platform or at accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.

The original result slip, which contains candidates’ passport photographs and detailed examination records, remains one of the key requirements for Post-UTME screenings and admission documentation in many institutions.

Similarly, the change of institution and course portal will provide candidates the opportunity to switch to preferred universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, or courses based on their UTME scores and admission prospects.

Checks revealed that the official fee for printing the original result slip is ₦1,000, excluding additional service charges that may be imposed by CBT centres.

The announcement has generated reactions among candidates and parents, many of whom have been awaiting updates on the next phase of the admission exercise following the release of the 2026 UTME results.

Candidates are advised to carefully review their details before submitting any changes to avoid errors that could affect their admission process.

For further updates, candidates are encouraged to monitor the official JAMB portal and communications from their preferred institutions.
