The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has issued an urgent admission advisory to candidates seeking admission for the 2026/2027 academic session, directing those whose admission offers have been approved on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) to accept their offers within 24 hours.
The university communicated the directive through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, urging admission seekers to take immediate action to avoid complications with their admission process.
According to the advisory, candidates who have received approved admission offers on JAMB CAPS are expected to log into their profiles and accept the offers within the stipulated 24-hour period.
O’Level Results Upload: Candidates Given Fresh Warning
In a separate but related instruction, UNILORIN warned candidates who are yet to upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS to do so immediately.
Such candidates have been advised to visit any JAMB-accredited centre to complete the upload process.
The university’s warning underscores the importance of ensuring that all admission requirements are properly fulfilled on the JAMB platform.
What Admission Seekers Should Do Immediately
Candidates seeking admission into UNILORIN for the 2026/2027 academic session should take the following steps:
- Check JAMB CAPS: Log in to your JAMB profile and check your admission status.
- Accept Admission: If your admission has been approved, accept the offer within the 24-hour period communicated by the university.
- Upload O’Level Results: Candidates who have not uploaded their results should visit a JAMB-accredited centre immediately.
- Confirm Upload: Ensure that the uploaded results are properly reflected on JAMB CAPS.
Important Notice
Candidates should understand that accepting an admission offer on JAMB CAPS and completing the university’s internal admission or clearance procedures are separate steps. Acceptance on CAPS does not automatically mean that all registration requirements have been completed.
Admission seekers are therefore advised to monitor UNILORIN’s official communication channels and their JAMB profiles for further instructions.
Advice to candidates: Do not delay checking your JAMB CAPS profile, especially if you have already been offered admission. Candidates should also retain evidence of their O’Level upload and admission acceptance.
