Abuja, Nigeria – Thousands of Nigerian graduates now have an opportunity to begin careers in the technology industry as AltSchool Africa has launched a ₦250 million scholarship fund under its NYSC to Tech Job initiative.
The programme is designed to help serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, recent corps alumni and prospective corps members acquire globally relevant digital skills that can open doors to remote jobs, internships and full-time employment in the fast-growing technology sector.
According to AltSchool Africa, the scholarship fund will provide financial support to eligible applicants enrolling in its diploma programmes, reducing the cost of acquiring in-demand tech skills.
Up to ₦160,000 Scholarship Per Beneficiary
Under the initiative, each successful applicant can receive scholarship support worth up to ₦160,000, which covers:
₦10,000 towards the application fee.
₦150,000 towards tuition fees for an AltSchool Africa diploma programme.
The institution said the initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on young Nigerians while preparing them for careers in the global digital economy.
