The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has opened the registration portal for the third phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI), inviting eligible Nigerians to apply for free vocational, digital, agricultural and entrepreneurship training programmes aimed at improving employability and creating sustainable livelihoods.

According to the NDE, the initiative will provide participants with industry-relevant skills, monthly training support where applicable, and starter packs or business support for selected beneficiaries after successful completion of the programme. The agency said the training is tailored to the economic needs of each state to improve participants’ chances of securing employment or becoming self-reliant.
Eligibility
Applicants are expected to:
Be Nigerian citizens.
Meet the programme’s age requirement.
Possess a valid National Identity Management Commission National Identification Number (NIN).
Provide a valid Bank Verification Number (BVN) and bank account details.
Reside in the state where they intend to receive training, regardless of their state of origin.
Complete the mandatory online pre-enrolment assessment.
Available Training Areas
Participants can apply under various NDE departments, including:
Vocational Skills Development (VSD)
Small Scale Enterprises (SSE)
Rural Employment Promotion (REP)
Special Public Works (SPW)
Training covers technical trades, ICT and digital skills, agribusiness, entrepreneurship and other market-driven skill areas.

Interested applicants should:
- Create an account on the official registration portal.
- Complete the pre-enrolment assessment.
- Verify their identity using their NIN.
- Provide personal, bank and residence details.
- Select their preferred programme and skill area.
- Submit the application and print or save the acknowledgement slip for future reference.
