The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in partnership with Rite Foods Limited, is set to reward seven exceptional Nigerian undergraduates with a total of ₦35 million under the Rite Foods Academic Excellence Award initiative.
Under the programme, each of the seven outstanding students will receive ₦5 million, bringing the total value of the awards to ₦35 million. The initiative is designed to recognise and celebrate academic excellence while encouraging students across the country to pursue outstanding educational achievements.
The award ceremony is expected to bring together education stakeholders, government officials, academic leaders, and representatives of Rite Foods to honour the beneficiaries. It also underscores the growing collaboration between the private sector and educational institutions in promoting quality education and rewarding excellence.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has consistently advocated initiatives that promote merit, integrity, and excellence in Nigeria’s education sector. The partnership with Rite Foods aligns with these objectives by providing meaningful support to high-performing students.

Education stakeholders have described the initiative as a significant investment in Nigeria’s human capital, noting that recognising exceptional academic performance can inspire other students to strive for excellence despite prevailing challenges.
The Rite Foods Academic Excellence Awards reaffirm the commitment of both JAMB and Rite Foods to fostering a culture of merit, innovation, and educational development in Nigeria, while providing financial support that will help the award recipients pursue their academic and career aspirations.
