The 2026/2027 admission exercise has officially gathered momentum across Nigeria as several universities, polytechnics, and colleges of nursing sciences commence the sale of Post-UTME and screening forms for prospective candidates.

The development comes amid growing anticipation among candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions following the conclusion of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Checks show that both federal, state, and private institutions have begun opening their admission portals, releasing guidelines, cut-off marks, and screening procedures for applicants.
Among the universities currently selling Post-UTME forms are the University of Port Harcourt, Covenant University, Babcock University, Bowen University, Redeemer’s University, Afe Babalola University, Pan-Atlantic University, Landmark University, Godfrey Okoye University, and Augustine University.
Others include Caleb University, Kings University, Maduka University, Topfaith University, Ritman University, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education and David Nweze Umahi University of Medical Sciences.
In the polytechnic category, institutions that have commenced sales of screening forms include The Polytechnic Ibadan, Ogun State Institute of Technology, Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic and D.S. Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic.
Similarly, several colleges of nursing sciences and health institutions have also opened applications for the new academic session. Most institutions advised candidates to carefully verify admission requirements, subject combinations, and O’Level conditions before completing registration.
Admission experts have also urged candidates to monitor official portals regularly for updates on screening schedules, deadline extensions, and departmental cut-off marks.
The commencement of Post-UTME registrations signals the official beginning of Nigeria’s 2026 tertiary admission process, with millions of candidates expected to compete for limited admission spaces nationwide.
