Controversial crossdresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky has been sentenced to six months in prison for abusing the naira notes.
The social media influencer was handed the sentence on Friday morning by Abimbola Awogboro, a judge of the federal high court in Lagos.
Awogboro, in her verdict, also ruled that the sentence is without the option of a fine.
The judge said the verdict would serve as a deterrent to other persons fond of abusing and mutilating the Nigerian currency.
