The kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the sighting of the Crescent for the month of Shawwal 1444.
The kingdom via the official twitter handle of the two revered mosques, @haramaininfo stated this on Thursday.
According to the tweet, the moon was SEEN today in Tumair and Sudair.
After the sighting of the crescent has been well established, the next day which is Friday, 21st April 2023 is the day of Eid Al Fitr.
However, the President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, Alhaji Dr Saad Abubakar is yet to give directive to Nigerian Muslims on the celebration Eid-el-fitr.
