A serving lawmaker, Senator Akwashiki Godiya of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, APC, from Nasarawa state has defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) today, Thursday .
Senator Akwashiki stormed the SDP national secretariat with over three thousand supporters in company of some current serving and former state assembly members of APC.
Akwashiki was received by the National Chairman of SDP; Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam and other national officers of the party.
The senator noted that not fewer than 10 senators will be leaving the APC before sallah celebration.
