A shot video showing moment former President of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Students’ Union, Oyekan Ibukun popularly known as ‘Dr Ibk’ was taken to Kosere medium security prison in Ile-Ife has been captured by students who witnessed the proceedings on Thursday.
The case, a two-count charge against Dr IBK, held with the State as the prosection and Dr IBK as the defendant.
Magistrate A.A. Ayeni of the Magistrate Court 3 of Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ile-Ife granted Dr Ibk a conditional bail.
Dr IBK was admitted on bail with a sum of N500, 000 Naira, amongst other conditions, but he could not meet the conditions hereby remanded .
The court case has been adjourned till Tuesday, 26 April 2022.
The suspect was charged to court over alleged withdrawal of N720,000 from the union account.
