Popular investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo has ‘dragged’, Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde over the remodelled Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba which was officially commissioned today, Wednesday.
Soyombo said despite the huge amount being spent on the project, the pitch couldn’t withstand the downpour, which according to him, exposed the lies that are ‘fabricated’ to paint the pitch in a good shape.
His tweets read: “The rains have exposed the lie that this much-vaunted ‘Remodelled Adamasingba Stadium’ is. The pitch looks like a pool; I pity the players. If in doubt, just tune to Channels TV.
” A N5.3bn project without a pitch that can withstand the rains?
“It’s all a sham. What a shame!”, Soyombo tweeted.
Soyombo’s reaction over the pitch didn’t go down well with some admirers of the governor, as many of them cited some matches that were cancelled in Europe owning to how these stadia were waterlogged after heavy downpour.
